UoN Psychology Clinic
The University of Newcastle has an ongoing Psychology Clinic, where students are provisional or fully registered psychologists and closely supervised by experienced Clinical Psychologists. Both at Callaghan and Ourimbah.
They can service adults, families, children and adolescents with some basic exclusions around risk of harm to self and others, active psychosis and legal proceedings.
They can provide individual and family interventions, group interventions with CBT programs for kids, a program for primary school aged children who have been bullied and cognitive and diagnostic assessments. Referrals can come from health care providers and self-referrals.
Prices are as low as $10/$15 an hour for low income.
See webpage under related resources to the right of this article for further information on the psychology clinic.
